This 3rd Quarter was truly a challenge towards my determination and passion to learn. This was quarter was filled with challenges, but as it is filled with obstacles, it is also filled with lessons. Just like what they say, you learn from your mistakes. This quarter mainly talked about research, more specifically community-based research. I learned lessons that talked about how good and beneficial community-based research is to a community and as a researcher.
Many of my fellow students might get bored and tired talking about the research subject. But this community-based research talked about in this quarter is very similar but significantly different from the research that we students are used to. This community-based research that we learned in this quarter gave me a new meaning and view about the essence of research. Community-based research is a much more engaging way of conducting a research, it also made me enjoy research in a different level. I also learned that conducting community-based research does not only help you as a researcher, but also the community talked about in your community-based research. It is because community-based research is also a great way to promote a product, a culture, a tradition found in your community. It also helped me learn more things that I did not even know about the different products, cultures and traditions that I see everyday in my community. Although this pandemic made it a bit harder to conduct community-based research, since there are still limitations to what we can do as a researcher. But even though, I still managed to conduct my community-based research with the help of my others in the community, who made it easier for me to gather data and information about my community-based research.
The next time I conduct another community-based research, I hope that this pandemic have ended, and that I would hopefully community-based research without any limitations. I also hope to promote other products, cultures, traditions that is found in my community. And I will always try to remember that my fellow citizens in my community can always give me a helping hand in conducting community-based research in our community.
