As the year 2021 comes to an end, the pandemic has not yet ended, and our lives have not returned to normal. However, when the year comes to an end, we also celebrate Christmas, which celebrates the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Every year, we celebrate it with great excitement and happiness all around the world. However, due to the pandemic, it appears that we will not be able to spend Christmas as we used to, due to the safety protocols we must follow to avoid the spread of COVID-19. But this does not mean that we cannot enjoy Christmas during this pandemic, because I think that Christmas is all about giving and helping those in need. And because of this, even in the middle of the pandemic, the spirit of Christmas lives on in our hearts.
We celebrate Christmas every year as the year comes to an end. Christmas is commonly celebrated with the singing of Christmas carols, festivals, and the exchanging of gifts and wishes. However, due to the restrictions implemented to prevent the spread of COVID-19, we are unable to celebrate Christmas the way we used to. But just because we can't enjoy Christmas because of the pandemic, it doesn't mean we can't celebrate the spirit of Christmas. Christmas keeps its true meaning as a holy day commemorating the birth of Jesus, whom God sent to earth to suffer for our sins. For every one of us, God did something incredible and selfless. And, just as God gave his only son for us, we can celebrate the true meaning of Christmas by giving and sharing with friends, family, and those in need. People are so focused with the materialistic aspects of this season that they are unable to appreciate the true meaning of the Christmas season. During these challenging times, it's extremely important to feel and express the true spirit of Christmas through helping others. Let us not be carried away by material things during this season, but rather remember the true spirit of Christmas throughout this pandemic, for the true spirit of Christmas lies within our hearts.
We all love Christmas, but maybe, just maybe, people will begin to appreciate that Christmas is more than just expensive gifts and shimmering lights, because the true essence of the season is found within our hearts, not in material things. We must all come to a greater understanding that Christmas is a special day for us to commemorate the birth of Jesus, who died for us. We must learn to be unselfish and kind to those in need, just as Jesus did, especially during these trying times, because I think the true spirit of Christmas lives in our hearts.

Good Day Jan,
ReplyDeleteYes, Celebrating Christmas in the middle of pandemic is different coz we used to celebrate it with joy and happiness. Yet, I agree on what you said that the spirit of Christmas is within us. I also like what you said that Christmas isn't just about expensive things but it is about love.
